At UKWindowClean, we receive a lot of questions about our exceptional service, the types of cleaning services that we provide and general customer queries. This FAQ page will answer some of the questions we get asked the most at UKWindowClean. All in one convenient place.
You don’t need to be home for the cleaning service to go ahead. Our cleaners don’t need access to the interior of your property at all. As long as we can access the entire outside we can do our job. If you have a gated area to your property, make sure it is unlocked before we arrive.
We use telescopic, electronic, water-fed poles so that our conservatory cleaners can remain on the ground and completely remove any risk of damaging your conservatory. There can be many awkward angles to conservatories, and moss build-up and stains can get themselves into difficult to reach places. Our telescopic poles are adjustable with interchangeable heads to ensure that we can remove the dirt, grime and dust from wherever it is hiding.
So that we can be as flexible as possible for our customers' preferences, we offer a wide range of payment methods so that you can pay in a way that is familiar to you. We accept: payment through the website, in cash to the cleaning operator on the day, via cheque or through bank transfer within 7 days. If you are not at the property on the day of the clean, we will leave details on the bill of how to make a payment.
The UKWindowClean pure water system has been perfectly designed to give customers the best results. Essentially, a pure water system is ordinary water that has been filtered through a filtration system. This filtration process removes all natural minerals that exist in normal tap water.
You will notice that on our cleans, our windows are left crystal clear, whereas when normal tap water dries on windows it is prone to leave water spots. Our pure water system also means that we have no need to use a sponge on our windows.
If our windows cleaners do experience any particularly stubborn stains after completing a clean, like small areas of drying marks, we will pay extra attention to remove those marks.
Our regular window cleaning service is done monthly. Gutter cleaning is annually. Conservatory roofs are cleaned once or twice a year.
Our prices vary depending on the service, because of the frequency and type of cleans we do. You will receive your first window clean for free as part of a promotional offer, and then our cleaner will quote you for regular cleans from that point. Our gutter cleaning service is from £87.50. Conservatory and jet washing from £25. Our oven, hob and other appliance clean vary depending on the appliance. Our solar panel cleaning service is from £25.
For the safety of our employees and to protect your property, we do not use ladders while on the job. Our telescopic poles allow our cleaners to clean properties up to heights of 60ft, with precision.
We use a sophisticated scheduling system to give our cleaning operators their jobs based on postcodes. We don’t know the schedule of our operators until the night before. If you need an estimated time for when an operator will arrive at your property, you can contact us directly and we will provide you with an estimation.
Although our service has been designed for customers and clients who want a regular service, we are flexible and can provide one off cleans. For a one-off clean we charge double the amount of our 8 weekly service.
All of our employees are professionally screened, trained and insured to operate on your residential and commercial property.
If you have a complaint about the standard of a clean one of our operators did then please contact us immediately. We will do everything possible to best resolve the issue and reach an agreed resolution. If your complaint is about the standard of a clean then we can conduct a thorough clean and rinse to ensure we’re getting rid of every stubborn bit of dirt and grime.
If your complaint is more serious than this, and involves a particular cleaning operator's conduct while on the job then we will follow our official UKWindowClean complaint procedure. We want to retain you as a loyal customer, and all our customer service representatives are trained with this in mind. We will do everything we can as a company to resolve your issue, and exceed your expectations on the next clean we book in for you.
We do not use any harsh bleach or cleaning chemicals while on the job, as they can cause harm to the user and irreversible damage to your windows, sills, doors and frames.
We use our pure water system to provide the most effective clean possible, using our trusty electronic, water-fed poles.
Come rain, sleet, snow, wind or shine; our cleaning operators work all year round through varied weather. Most weather conditions do not affect our cleaning capabilities, nor will they delay any scheduled cleans. In extreme weather conditions, please be respectful that we have to put the health and safety of our employees first, and we will of course notify you if we absolutely cannot make a visit.
